ZiLOG Inc. is a microcontroller company with headquarters in the US and a leading supplier of micro devices for consumer and security systems products.


As part of our business strategy and to continually serve our customers better, we have been developing an industrys leading IR code database over a number of years. To ensure that the Database remains current and comprehensive, we are constantly looking to add new code sets from the latest remote controls in the market place. It is necessary for us to acquire various remote controls available from Europe, North America, South America and now in Asia. We need to determine whether our IR microcontroller chip is compatible and can control the devices of different brands.


With this enhancement of our database in mind, we would like to discuss the possibility of working with you as one of our suppliers.


Please take note that we are not going to copy any circuits or program used in the remote controls. Our aim is to capture the signals emitted by the remote and create a program compatible for ZiLOG IR chips. In this way we will be able to know if our chip can support different products. Furthermore, ZiLOG is not a manufacturer of remote controls or electronic devices like TV, DVD, VCD and audio system, we only manufacture the chips used for the remote controls.
