were thrown on 该怎么合理翻译呢

Several coaches were thrown on a parallel track and was hit by another train coming  from the opposite direction.
thrown on ：没有行驶的意思
Several coaches    were      thrown     on a parallel track
字面的意思是:几辆那种马拉的架车被丢弃在平行的铁轨上了,导致反方向过来的火车撞了上去.

几节脱链的(火车)车厢被遗弃在铁轨上,被另一反方向驶来的火车撞上.


parallel track 是指铁轨,因为铁轨是双轨的.  

"脱链的"是另外加上去的,这样可以与后面的"遗弃"搭配!

由后面的another train可知道前面的several coaches是火车的车厢.
